April 25th, 2008 · No Comments ·

Price was apparently an object for the United Kingdom iPhone shoppers.

The decision by O2 UK carriers to reduce the price of the 8GB iPhone buyers invited to exhaust stocks of the model in the O2 website, and in Carphone Warehouse, an authorized dealer iPhone. Pocket-Lint confirmed with Carphone Warehouse, that the 8GB models are broken, and O2 said that the site during the on-line stocks in the 8GB model are gone, retail stocks are dwindling fast.

It was just one week ago that O2 cut the price of 8 GB model of 269 British pounds ($ 533) to 169 British pounds ($ 335), a move which was seen as an inventory-clearing measure the expected introduction a 3G iPhone. Both Carphone Warehouse and O2 Pocket Lint told they would “review” whether to order more 8GB models from Apple, which is a further indication that we will see a new model soon.
