Eastman Kodak hopes, one aspect of the design of the chip on the head, the mobile phone to improving cameras - or at least help to catch up with their image quality increases megapixels.
“We believe that we have a new product, the sensor in the camera rivals that the true camera, but it is small enough to enter a cell phone camera,” said Fas Mosleh, director of market for CMOS Kodak and Professional Imaging Group.
There were beautiful cameras upmarket such as mobile phones, the Nokia N95, Kodak, but believes that its technology to any of 5 million pixels of the sensor product ship at the end of the year, will contribute to a Mainstream better cameras mobile phones.
Bullets Semiconductor today recognize highlight the essence of counting the number of electrons, light, a pixel in the image sensor. More light means more electrons, and that an electronic signal that can be converted into digital data.
But Kodak believes there may be some improvements, using the image sensor drahtend new design to recognize the absence of electrons instead of - in fact count “holes” instead of electrons. To do this, some of sensor drahtete must be new, but Kodak claims that the technology produces less noise than conventional sensors.
The result, as promised, Kodak: a better image quality, or the same picture quality when shooting in bright conditions, like those in most rooms scenes.
A basic problem with image sensors is the challenge of the difference in brightness of the signal - the real photons striking the sensor - from inside the electronic noise of the sensor. The problem is even more serious as smaller pixels, so that more megapixels is not necessarily a step forward.
