Verizon Wireless going for a flat-rate fee

Verizon Wireless (VZ), revealed Tuesday that the plan provides unlimited national call for a lump sum of EUR 99.99 to EUR 139.99 per month.
Unlimited plans for BlackBerry devices and other Smartphones, starting at $ 129.99 per month. Plans day some additional features, such as unlimited messaging, global e-mail and video.

The new “Unlimited Nationwide minutes Anytime plan” could rewrite the rules of competition in the mobile telephony sector, which has long embraced the idea of selling “bucket” of a number of minutes monthly price. Verizon, which claims 66 million customers, now offers a bucket with 2000 minutes for $ 99 per month.

Jack Plating, Chief Operating Officer of Verizon Wireless, said his company is not the role buckets - but it is on “high value” customers pay at least $ 100 per month for wireless services.
